Whether experienced or just learning, having the skills to execute self rescue can be your most valuable tools. Start with the basics and add to your bag of tricks. ACMG techniques in raising and lowering systems, rock rescue, crevasse rescue, prussiking and improvized evacuations will form the base of the teachings. We focus on learning the concepts at a comfortable pace so the material is fully understood not just memorized.The most important part of rescue is avoiding ever needing it. Emphasis is placed upon safe travel concepts and hazard management.
