Weekend Rock, Ice, and Snow Extravaganza

This is an introduction to mountaineering in an enjoyable and educational environment. Friday night we meet and discuss conditions, equipment, knots etc., Saturdays' instruction covers glacier travel, self arrest, snow and ice anchors and movement skills. Sunday is Summit Day. Optional venues are Mt. Athabasca, Mt Fay, Mt Stanley. Mt. Hermit and Mt. Joffre.

We also create and facilitate 5 day mountaineering courses for outdoor recreation programs.

The Bugaboos Blockbuster

Two Wonderful Days of Quartzite ridges, ancient glaciers, snow and ice faces, and a multitude of breathtaking peaks provide the grounds for an awesome mountain experience. A skills-based peak day and a summit day. Beginners to seasoned mountaineers come and experience where Mountain Climbing and Guiding originated in Canada. There is a true mountain culture and history in "The Pass".

A bivy under the stars is an option for the keen and adventurous. Moderate climbing on solid purple rock with great views typifies the experience in the Selkirk Range. Explore ridge hiking, travelling on a glacier, or the 3000 ft 5.7 classic on Mt. Sir Donald.

Starbird Mountains Expedition

User-friendly alpine terrain provides a perfect arena for learning the ropes and having a mini expedition. Morning photo-shoots, afternoon cloud and geo-morphology discussions will complement the terrain that surrounds us. Glacier travel and crevasse rescue will be taught and practiced. Moving through the mountains and existing in a beautiful setting shape the goals of the adventure.

Prices include guides, park fees, group technical gear and GST.
